Images - 2/18/97

I sit alone, gazing out the window
into the pouring rain.
Images pass through my mind of the two of us...
The first time your lips touched mine,
The way it feels to hold you close to me,
Never seeming close enough...

I remember the smell of your cologne,
Still comes back to me...
A faint smile sneaks across my lips,
As I sit here, gazing at the rain
Missing you here with me...

I dream of you sometimes,
While I am not sleeping.
I imagine your arms around me,
The way you sweep the hair from my brow
So you can see my eyes gaze up at you,
Brimming with adoration...

I wish for you next to me
Moments after you have gone,
The sheets beside me still warm
From where you lie to touch me...

I know there are times when you,
Alone in your quiet room,
Listening to the rain fall down around you,
Stop a moment to think of me...

Smiling as you hold me close,
Gazing up at you as you kiss my cheek,
Holding my hand as we stroll together.

All my memories of you,
Flooding back the moment we say goodbye,
The moment your hand leaves mine,
Are what keep me close to you.

Which is where I wish to always stay...

Flame - 8/3/98

Beyond you stretch from me;
farther you stray from home every moment
the road dancing by swiftly,
chasing the elusive horizon.

I dream of you. I wish for you.
If only I could reach out to you now,
knowing you are only a breath away.
What are you thinking today...
What are you feeling...
Are you dreaming too?

I feel you alive inside me,
grasping that warm flame within so close to my heart.
I wish it never to leave me.

I remember the tender times with you,
only a few nights have passed
since those blissful moments between us.
I recall the feel of you,
as the candlelight shimmers across your cheek,
My soft caress sweeping across your moist, sweet skin...
I feel my eyes brim with tears as I behold your beauty.

As you turn your deep eyes upon me,
I feel them pierce my wall of silence...
How they crush me, and yet so liberate my soul...
If only you knew how powerful your gaze.

To touch you now, I would swim a thousand seas.
I need you with me, beside me,
within this barren vessel of emotion
that remains since you have gone.

Warm within you, cold without you...
The night so black, the day so empty, my bed so cold...
I long for your homecoming,
your outstretched arms drinking me in...
I want it never to end.

So far, yet so close to my heart.
I will hold you there,
feeding your light, needing your flame,
clutching your warmth forever.

Oh, do come home to me soon...
Engulf me in your violet embrace.

The Moment - 10/10/00

I step outside under the canopy of steadfast stars and charcoal clouds,
the blanket of winter chill engulfs me�
thoughts of you drift through my mind�
where are you? What are you thinking? Is there a chill there too?
I wonder if you also stop a moment at night
to gaze up at these luminous lights above,
to ponder on all the wonder around you�
The beauty of the sun among the trees,
The glistening shimmer of the water on the lake,
The sound of the wind rushing past you�
Do you take a moment to feel your life? Your heartbeat? Your breath?

Every day that gift, that moment of each splendid rising�
the warmth of a blanket around you,
the feel of water on your skin,
the smell of the crisp morning dew�
all of the little moments of deepening awareness around us,
the opportunities we have to open ourselves to experiences
of dreams and desires, of feeling and learning.
Do you grasp these tiny fragments of time?
Do you let them slip away?
What is it that moves you?
What do you dream of?
Let me share my moments with you�

A dragonfly passing over me�
on the water at night in a boat�
traveling with the windows down over a bridge
above the ocean with the wind in my hair� the smell of a puppy�
the overcast autumn sky�
a walk in the forest�
the smell of the salty ocean air�
the glow of the full moon above me�
the sound of the waves as they crash against the shore�
running through a field barefoot�
being tickled�
to sleep under a tree in a hammock�
the rain on my face�
the smell and crackle of a fire�
the rush of the first kiss�
the tenderness of the first touch�
the anticipation of that first emotion expressed in words�

So tell me, what is it that moves you?
What do you dream of?
As I take your hand and place it upon my heart, tell me�
What do you feel?
Do you feel my life? My heartbeat? My breath?
Do you grasp this tiny fragment of time, or let it slip away?
Reach for enlightenment and it shall find you.
Open your heart to experience, and you will feel.
Take each moment,
live each glass sliver of time,
list to the beauty all around you�

The Embrace - 2/28/01

The consummation, that fragrant encompassing swirl
of time and space around this decadent charade...
Behold the enticing, the licking devilish pursuit.
The obsession circles and lingers
radiant and piercing like the light of a nova
awaiting your fall from virtue.
When you surrender, you relinquish completely
succumbing all your courage in one jagged, unyielding embrace.

You suffer as it takes your breath
giving completely over and over until you are devoid of will.
The exquisite sting, the need ever for it to gratify you again.
Yes, again it evolves, clawing at the very subsistence within you.

The air, this tainted air
you savor the sin in it
the taste thick with unwavering desire.
That need, that possessive driving need�
It clutches you unrelentingly, scratching at your sanity.
Submit� Indulge�
Offer yourself in sheer rapture to this torment of consciousness...

Oh the pleasure this catalyst of yearning brings.

Boundary - 3/23/01

This candlelight exploring our flesh�
The delicate, moist embrace, the shards of emotion tossed
about us like fireflies in the wood, hiding and surfacing,
dancing together under the light of the moon.
Our bodies one, our aching rapture surging within us,
encircling this void of silence around.
The encompassing intangible thickness of night,
licking at us with her smoldering grasp,
tormenting our bodies, this lush splendor of passion.
The single tear rolls down as you look into my eyes,
the light dancing in their endlessness, that unwavering gaze.
It penetrates and liberates my consciousness,
elevating me into a wave of exultation,
rocking gently upon the sea of this desire.

The journey, sensuous and excruciating, without boundary.
Your arms surround and drown me
Your gasping breath savoring me
My tears in this moonlight
My heart in your eyes
My love as my lips taste yours.

This melding of truth, rapture, tenderness of existence�
One
Melded together
The pain and the pleasure
The bitter touch of time.

Secret - 11/11/01

I meld into you, becoming one exquisite entity.
Your skin becomes mine, your flesh of my flesh,
your heart of my heart, your soul of my soul.
I intertwine with your spirit, that crimson embrace so engulfing,
so unyielding, it scorches the very air that surrounds us.
I can taste the salt of your skin, the heat of your breath,
the tenderness of your touch.

As you trace the lines of my body, I bend to meet you.
Your fingertips tease my lips, aching to experience
you again, aching to taste you once more.
Moist with your kiss, I tremble in your arms.
A single tear caresses my cheek as I look into your eyes,
your gaze delving into the darkest depths within me.
So splendid you are, I possess what angels hide in my arms.

Your beauty, your exquisite allure, engulfs me in this burning rapture.
My body betrays me time and again, succumbing to you,
obeying you, yielding to your rule.
Leave not this skin of mine untouched, this soul unfulfilled,
this heart restless and apart from yours.
For within your embrace, I am entirely.

You and Me - 8/12/03

In the midst of silly string
In the pillows we fight in
In the grass we wrestle in
Come and play with me.

I want mud caked in my hair
I want to run without a care
One silly moment I won't spare
Can you keep up with me?

We can talk all night
Until the morning light
And never do we fight
Because you understand me.

I can call you anytime
And you never seem to mind
Your heart is just that kind
You are there for me.

When you laugh until you cry
Cause you don't have to ask me why
Cause we just see eye to eye
Friends forever you and me.

Disappointment - 9/25/03

To think my simplicity could appease you
A schoolgirl's fantasy
Requiem for tragic heartbreak.

Tears flow so easy now, as if baited and ready
Unlocked and open
Fragile, vulnerable, cornered.

I wish for March rain
This pain buried
This longing and idealistic dream faded to memory
On to simpler days.

My woven shroud of mystery,
Ripped apart by truth,
No longer does it entice you.

Interest feigned, concert over
Your disappointment remains alone.
