New friends and old friends

Make new friends .....
but keep the old

Those are silver .........
these are gold

New - made friendship .....
like new wine

Age will mellow and refine .
Friendships that had stood the test-time and change  - are surely best

Brow may wrinkle ......
hair grow gray ...

Friendsship never knows decay ....

For amid old friends... tried and true ......

One more we our youth renew

You're loveble , playful .....
Intelligent , bright .......

Sleepy by day and active by night ......

Gracefully beautiful ....
impeccably grommed.....

No need for fine  feathers ...... expensive perfume .......
sultry ....... provoocative ...... seductive  and more .......

You're the one my heart will always adore

When the day has been bad .....and live feels flat ......

  A Student's Prayer

    Now I lay me down to study
    I pray that lord I wouldn't
    grow nutty .........

 
If I should fail to learn this junk
I pray that Lord I will not flunk

But If I do .....
Don't pity me at all
Just lay my bones .......
In the study hall

Tell my prof
I did my best ,
then pile my books
upon my chest

Now I lay me down to rest
and pray I'll pass tomorrows test .....

If I should die before I wake
there's one less test I'll have to take

               It's almost certain that you won't.

           If you think you'll lose, you've lost;
               For out in the world you'll find
               Success begins with a fellows will -
               It's all in the state of mind.

           If you think that you are out-classed, you are;
               You've got to think high to rise;
               You've got to be sure of yourself before
               You can ever win a prize.

          Life's battles don't always go
              To the stronger or faster man;
              But sooner or later, the man who wins
              Is the man who thinks he can.
 

THE WILL TO WIN

                If you want a thing bad enough
          To go out and fight for it,
          Work day and night for it,
          Give up your time and your peace
          and your sleep for it,

 
  If only desire of it Makes you
  quite mad enough
  Never to tire of it,
  Makes you hold all other
  things
  tawdry  and cheap for it,

  If life seems all empty and
  useless without it
  And all that you scheme and you
  dream is about it,

  If gladly you'll sweat for
  it,Fretfor it,Plan for it,
  lose all yourterror of God or
  man for it,

  If you'll simply go after that
  thing that you want
  with all your capacity , strength , hope and sagicity ,
  faith, hope, and confidence,
  stern pertinacity,

  If neither cold poverty,
  famished and gaunt,Nor sickness
  nor pain Of body and brain
  can turn you away from the
  thing that you want,

  If dogged and grim you
  besiege and besetit,
  You'll get it.
 

I'VE LEARNED....

   That no matter how much I care,
     some people just don't care back.

   That it takes years to build up trust,
     and only seconds to destroy it.

   That it's not what you have in your life
     but who you have in your life that counts.

   That you can get by on charm for about
     fifteen minutes.
     after that, you'd better know something.

   That you shouldn't compare
     yourself to the best others can do.

   That you can do something in an instant
     that will give you heartache for life.

   That it's taking me a long time
     to become the person I want to be.

   That you should always leave loved ones
     with loving words.
     It may be the last time you see them.
     that you can keep going long after you can't.

   That we are responsible for what we do,
    no matter how we feel.

   That  either you control your attitude
    or it controls you.

   That regardless of how hot and steamy
    a relationship is at first, the passion fades
    and there had better be something else
    to take its place.

   That heroes are the people who do
     what has to be done
     when it needs to be done,
     regardless of the consequences.

   That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

   That my best friend and I
   can do anything
   or nothing and have the best time.

   That sometimes the people you expect
   to kick you when you're down
   will be the ones to help you get back up.

   That sometimes when I'm angry
   I have the right to be angry,
   but that doesn't give me
   the right to be cruel.

   That true friendship continues to grow,
   even over the longest distance.
   Same goes for true love.

   That just because someone doesn't love
    you the way you want them to
    doesn'tmean they don't love you with
    all they have.

   That maturity has more to do with
    what types of experiences you've had
    and what you've learned from them
    and less to do with how many
    birthdays you've celebrated.

   That you should never tell a child
    their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.
    Few things are more humiliating, and what
    a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

   That no matter how good a friend is,
    they're going to hurt you every once in a while
    and you must forgive them for that.

   That it isn't always enough to be
    forgiven by others.
    Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.

   That no matter how bad your heart is broken
    the world doesn't stop for your grief.

   That our background and circumstances
    may have influenced who we are,
    but we are responsible for who we become.

   That just because two people argue,
   it doesn't mean they don't love each other
   And just because they don't argue,
   it doesn't mean they do.

   That we don't have to change friends
   if we understand that friends change.

   That you shouldn't be so eager
   to find out a secret.
   It could change your life forever.

   That two people can look
   at the exact same thing
   and see something totally different.

   That no matter how you try to protect your
   children, they will eventually get hurt and
   you will hurt in the process.

   That your life can be changed
   in a matter of hours by
   people who don't even know you.

   That even when you think you
   have no more ro give ,
   when a friend cries out to you,
   you will find the strength to help.

   That credentials on the wall
   do not make you a decent human being.

   That the people you care about most in life
   are taken from you too soon.

   That it's hard to determine where to draw
   the line between being nice and not hurting
   people's feelings and standing up for
   what you believe
 

  IF IT SHOULD BE

      If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
         And pain should keep me from my sleep,
         then you must do what must be done
         For this, the last battle, can't be won.

      You will be sad, I understand,
         Don't let the grief then stay your hand,
         For this day more than all the rest
         Your love and friendship stand the test.

      We've had so many happy years,
         What is to come can hold no fears.
         You'd not want me to suffer so;
         When the time comes, please let me go.

      Take me where my needs they'll tend
         And stay with my, if you can, to the end.
         Hold me firm and speak to me
         Until my eyes no longer see.

      I know in time, you will see,
         It is a kindness you do for me.
         Although my tail its last was waved,
         From pain and suffering I've been saved.

      Don't grieve that it should be you,
         Who must decide this thing to do,
         We've been so close, we two, these years;
         Don't let your heart hold any tears.

      Smile, for we walked together for a little while.
