free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com

Instead of going with a traditional guest book where everyone just signs their names, I wanted to do a Polaroid guestbook where people take a snap shot of themselves or their family and attach it to a page and then sign the page or write a message. I found this item at Jean M, but for the volume of people we were anticipating that would attend out wedding, the cost to do the book would have exceeded over $200 by the time we purchased the book, additional pages, the camera, and enough film for everyone. I chose to make an album similar to this myself with a variation of the wish bowl idea that I also seen on the Jean M website.

Wedding Wishes set from Jean M

To do this I purchased some disposable cameras that I placed on the table for the guests to have their picture taken with. I also cut out heart shapes in various colors of cardstock and stamped them with the To Have and To Hold stamp from the Stampin Up! Set Figures of Speech stamp setwith the VersaMark ink pad.

I made a card to put on the wish bowl table with a poem about the wish bowl and what we wanted them to do. To make the cards, I purchased card making supplies from Target. I used the Gartner Studios Hot Hues collection in white cardstock and vellum sheets. I printed the poem on the vellum sheet in a dark turquoise ink and attached it to the white cardstock, after the ink was dry, with the vellum adhesive. At the top of the paper, I punched two holes spaced about 1 1/2 apart and threaded 5/8 turquoise satin ribbon through the holes. I purchased the ribbon from daisy*mart, a vendor on eBay. When the poem was finished, I placed the card in a white rhinestone heart place card holder that I purchased from Moonlight Weddings. a vendor on eBay, and placed it on the wish bowl table to make it more visible. Also on the table I had placed a large cylinder vase for the cards and a large votive candle holder filled with decorative glass stones for the pens.

After we got the pictures developed from the Wish Bowl cameras, I assembled the cards that people filled out along with their pictures in a 12x12 scrapbook.
