Instead of purchasing thank you cards from a retailer, I chose to make my own with colors that coordinate with my wedding. I used Stampin� Up! Products to make my cards. I am a big fan of their products and they offer a wide spectrum of colors.

I purchased the products through a Stampin� Up demonstrator. In making the cards, I chose to make the standard size greeting card, which is 4 � x 5 � (a � sheet of 8 � x 11 cardstock). Then I used a versamark pad, which give the paper a watermark like appearance, to stamp the background of the card. I used just a basic thank you stamp that I purchased at JoAnn�s and stamped the image onto the paper enough times to fill the entire front of the card. I also used the thank you stamp from the stamp set Greetings Galore from Stampin� Up. I stamped this image onto white card stock and instead of cutting the image out, I tore it out to give it a more textured appearance. To decorate the image I used watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color in the hearts. For an added touch, I also applied glitter the stamped image in a color that coordinated with the hearts. When I attached the image to the front of the card, I place a stampin' dimensional (which is just an adhesive piece of foam on the back of the image and then applied it to the middle of the card. To make the cards even more special, I mailed them in blue see-through poly envelopes that I purchased from a vendor on eBay. Unfortunately, the individual who I purchased these envelopes from no longer sells on eBay. Stampin� Up does have the clear translucent envelopes available.
