The inspiration for cake table letters came from Long Island Weddings.com.On the site, many people had chose to do this and generally chose one of three options: their monogram, I do, or we do.
I chose to do the letters for I do. I purchased the letters, which were already painted white, from Wooden*Moon, a vendor on eBay. Originally, I had planned on covering the letters entirely in Swarovski crystals, but the letters that I purchased were too large and the number of crystals that I would need to cover them would be outrageous and extremely costly. Instead, I opted to outline the letters in crystals. I purchased the crystals from Designer Trends by Tami, who is a vendor on eBay and has the best prices and selection of crystals that I found anywhere on the Internet. Another wonderful thing about Tami, is that she was willing to help me color match the crystals to the colors in my wedding and sent me sample colors to help me find the perfect shades.
I used an assortment of shades of crystals to decorate my letters and in various sizes. I went with turquoise, crystal ab, fuchsia, Montana (dark blue), opal, and chrysolite (light green). Another great item that Tami sells is a crystal and bead kit. This kit contains everything that you would need, except for the crystals, to get started on any project: 2 different types of tweezers, polishing cloth, a bead mat (project mat), and glue. I would definitely recommend getting this set because of the tools that are included in it, but I did find the glue to be slightly difficult to work with and ended up purchasing a jewel glue from JoAnn�s that made application of the crystals a lot easier.
