NOT NAMED

In a place where I did dwell
I met a boy I knew so well
I gave him all my love you see
Then one day he set me free
I ran hom to cry upon my bed
Not a word to my mother I said
My father came home late that night
Glanced at my mother from left to right
He ran upstairs to a door he broke
To find me hanging from a rope
On my bed he found a note:

Dig my grave
Dig it deep
Place his picture at my feet
And an the ground
Place a dove
To show the world
I died for love
