Our idea of 'The Perfect Wedding' is an informal fall country-style wedding. We have not officially set a date but are considering September 29, 2001 (the last Saturday in September) and October 6, 2001 (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) as possibilities.
It is important to us for our family and friends to share this day with us. We would like to have a fairly small and intimate wedding, therefore, we are trying to keep the guest list to approximately 100 people.
We would like to create a Country-Harvest theme for our wedding incorporating the use of many natural decorations that the season provides. Imagine the beauty of decorating with bales of hay, corn husks, fall leaves, indian corn, pumpkins, squash, ornamental gords, rafia, wheat, grapevine, and ivy.
The idea of a One-Stop-Shop Wedding appeals to us immensely. This is where the ceremony and reception take place at the same location. Because many of our guests will be travelling from Hamilton, Port Hope, Napanee, and Kingston, it is preferable that our out of town guests have the option of on-site accomodations for their convenience.
We would love to have an outdoor wedding however, we realize this could be a nightmare if it were to rain!!!
