My name is Jennifer Anne Laidlaw and I am 23 years old. I was born in Ottawa, Ontario on September 3, 1976 where I lived until I was five years old. I moved around quite a bit throughout my childhood due to my fathers job with the Canadian Forces. Some of the places we lived were Masset British Columbia which is located on the Queen Charolate Islands, Kanata Ontario, Gander Newfoundland, and Kingston Ontario. I currently work at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre in Ottawa as a Resident Assistant.
I was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease which is a cancer of the Lymphatic System. I was diagnosed on December 20, 1999 and started treatment on January 7th of this year. I under went 6 months of chemotherapy and will be starting a month of radiation in a few weeks.
