We have all been working so hard at providing our children with the enrichments we hope will make them the best possible adults they can be. We are careful to make happy homes for them to live in.
We help them or find them tutors for their homework and make sure their extracurricular activies add to their educational experience as well. We drive them from practice to games to rehersals and performances. We cheer, we clap, we shout, we encourage , we console.
We are doing a great job and should be proud of our efforts. They WILL pay off. We live with some great people and they are getting greater as the days go by. They exceed our expectations, with but a single task, a look or a gesture. Aren't our children wonderful!
Look into the faces of your little ones--- right before you go vote.
We can no longer settle for what appears to be right. We have to be certain about our choices and we have to know that those we elect to serve us will bring consequences that our children will have to deal with.
We do our children a grave disservice to spend so much time and effort in molding them only to drop them into such a disfunctional environment as our government is molding for them.
Sound bites from the mainstream media are not enough to form an opinion and to cast a vote on. I know it's tough--- but spend a littl;e bit more time in making a choice.
It's for your kids and mine-- for their futures.
Involve your children in it. Let them be a part of the process. We need them to learn to be good citizens as well as academic and physical giants. Read the newspaper, search the Internet, listen to debates and watch a little news together. Let them know the man or woman who serves today will leave them consequences to deal with for good or for bad. It is important to choose well. That is a good life lesson.
Take care, Soccer Moms and take HEART-- we are Americans! May God bless us all.
Sincerely,
Jenni Vinson
