Jenni's Whereabouts...
Sorry, I haven't updated this for over a year 'cause my new computer won't run the online webpage programme I've been using for this site. The help centre suggested I should switch off my firewall. Yeah, right, real clever idea... Anyway, I'm in the process of learning how to use a more sophisticated much better programme, so hopefully will soon have my all new singing and dancing up-to-date website running. In the mean time, if you wanna know what I'm up to, just get in touch. Bye :)
September 2003 At the beginning of September I spent a lovely week in Germany (in Wuppertal with my family), visiting relatives and old friends; eating lots of rich German food - especially all those different kinds of meat to make sandwiches out of - after leading a fairly low fat, low calorie, low colesterol life in Washing for the past 3 months; and taking a trip to my favourite ice cream parlour. The holiday was much too short to see everyone, so if anyone is reading this and miffed that I didn't pay them a call: sorry, really, I'll try harder next time! Back in Leicester saw a pretty boring coupdl of days, with no one to play with (so to speak) as everyone else was busy with their dissertations. I ended up going to Cambridge for a day - I woke up one morning and thought "I've never been to Cambridge", so I went - but I was a bit disappointed. It was very pretty, but all the nice bits, the lovely parks, and the beautiful places by the river were private property of some college or other, and I couldn't even find a nice spot to have my sandwiches!
February 2005 I'm currently working at the National Museums of Scotland in Edinburgh and having a great time while I'm at it. Have been back in Edinburgh since September 2003, and back in my old digs since summer 2004. As always, guests are more than welcome in our humble abode. Hope to be seeing some of you this year. A belated Happy New Yeat to everyone!
January 2006 I'm still living in Edinburgh and am now working full time at the National Museums of Scotland, as Visitor Studies Officer. Don't worry if you're not sure what that means - neither do a lot of my colleagues. I've just come back from a fantastic trip to Japan with my boyfriend. We spend Christmas and New Year there, and ear infection aside it was great (though the flight back was quite painful). So, Happy New Year to everyone!
