| Touga Kiryuu | |
This one, I think was entirely based on looks and charachter appearance. Touga was another costume designed for the halloween event. Initially it was to be made from white cotton, but unfortunately a wrong choice in pattern had the jacket come up short. Materials used were a large white jacket, red 5/8" ribbon, gold 5/8" ribbon, gold tulip paint, gold lame, red braid, velcro, a white 24" zipper, white cotton, and 9 7/8" buttons. A jacket was found and altered slightly to look more like Touga's uniform jacket. The red and gold ribbon were sewn to the jacket and side and back seams split to make the flaps. The buttons were then sewn to the jacket and bolo clips were glued to the cord. | |||||||||

| The pants were found at a department store. The worst part about this costume was removing all the embroidery from the jacket and making the alterations to it after that. After the first several uses, the velcro fastening was replaced by a zipper and the buttons were removed. The first two times we used a spray-on hair color that didn't work too well, so our usual Touga just went with his natural hair. When we had a substitute for the role, though, we were required to get a wig to achieve the proper look. Considering how often this one has been out, it may be ready for semi-retirement pretty soon!
