Nanami Kiryuu
Nanami was made, using an altered jacket pattern. The body of the jacket was made first, and everything was serged. The sleeves were made with two layers of fabric, and the whole jacket was trimmed with black and white ribbon. The gold buttons were then sewn to the sleeves. The epaulets were made, using a plastic framework, covered with black satin, The fringe was then sewn onto it, and they were made detatchable by using sew-on snaps as a fastener. The shorts and pants were found in local stores, and the braid was made by getting an extension and headband to match the wearer's

natural hair color, braiding it, and sewing it in place on the headband. The cowbell was made, using a large egg-shaped piece of styrofoam, cutting it to the proper shape, and then painting it with acrylic paint. The red trim was made from red rick-rack, and the whole thing ties on with a length of the same material. The egg was made, using a paper mache egg and painting it the proper design.
