Link was a relatively simple costume, and our Link participated in the making of this one by learning how to sew! The tunic and hat were made of a green peachskin material, and a pattern for a halbred was used to create the tunic. The entire thing was simply hemmed, grommeted, and laces together on the sides and up the front. The hat was created freehand, and was given an elastic hatband, which definitely still needs some improvement before its' next use. The turtleneck and pants were found at various stores, and the boots and belt were found in Link's father's closet. The gloves are a pair of brownish welding gloves, and the sword was created by a friend with some swordmaking talent. We plan on improving this one at a later time by making the shield , improving the hat, and getting pointy ears and a scabbard for the sword. | |||||||||
