Juri Arisugawa Juri was definitely not one of the easiest costumes I have made, considering it has went through 3 jackets, and numerous trim changes. The jackets were all purchased, and then the red trim and orange sleeve added, along with the gold trim, The cuffs were made freehand, trimmed with buttons and red ribbon, and then attatched to the jackets. The epaulets were made from styrofoam covered in gold cloth, buttons, and the epaulets were made using a rectangle of the same cloth.

The bolo was made by braiding some gold cording, and attatching it. A bolo clip was used at the end to give it a more polished look. The wig was found at the looking glass botique, and unfortunately, lost all its' curl when we tried to style it. The rose was found at a local craft store, and the pants were bought at another store. The second and third jacket were trimmed and the better part of the accessories from the first jacket were reused on each, successively. When the wig was lost to the monster in our Juri's room, we figured out a new and exciting idea for the hair. A curly hairpiece was attatched to a headband, and layers of it were pinned along Juri's natural hairline. The overall effect was quite good, and looked more like Juri's  true hairstyle of loose, ringlet curls.
