the ninth wave

so i went a little bit overboard in my recent kate bush addiction. i got into my head that it would be really superb to
have all her cd's burned onto one cd that i could walk around and listen to. so i started to collect the songs needed,
album by album. it went well.
and then it went too far. and suddenly i find myself having skipped going home to sleep and instead spent the whole night
finding more songs, pursuing one elusive track after another to complete each album's tracklist. and then the "i've got
lots of space left. surely there must be be-sides and other fun songs?" .. and here i am, 140 songs later.
don't get me wrong. i had a pretty good time assembling it all, investigating and tracking anything from early teen
song demos to her cover of sexual healing (shudder). it became a great big puzzle, you see? and it seemed silly to stop
when i could try just a bit longer to get one more song, one more demo, one more cover.. connect, dammit, let me have it,
let me grab it! ...
and there came the morning sun as i found a few crappy clips of her most recent live performance 2 months ago and it came
to a natural stop. i'm still lacking about 5-8 tracks (that i know about), but, well. well. i think 140 (and the wuthering
heights video) is a reasonable harvest enough. so i spent 15 minutes arranging it all and ta-da.. so my Pull of the Bush
has come to be. and i'm peachy pleased. and tired. :)
i've deleted almost all the files off the computer already. i'm only hanging on to the most difficult to find songs. there's
always some other nut that'll have an easier time thanks to it. and that's that. i'll make a cd booklet, and then i'm officially
leaving the office and won't return until monday. heh.
in even further completely uninteresting news, i uploaded the rest of the photo's i took in new york and at the office
last week. there are 18 of them, all in all. click here to go view, if you feel
like it.
i need to go spend some time with The Ninth Wave album now. cin cin. :) 4:42 p.m.
