untitled
sunday, september 16, 2001

you know, it just struck me as funny that i keep adding a title line to each entry only to mark the entries as 'untitled'.. heh.. i'm such a brain-trust.

so. i went and rented a few movies yesterday.. the cement garden and requiem for a dream, and i bought a pre-viewed copy of american psycho.. shopped a bit at the grocery store (cups with cinnamon apple sauce, jelly beans and 2 lbs of carrots.) and then went to see a movie in the theater.

i had quite a bit of difficulty on settling on any particular movie. since the point was to take my mind off things, a comedy seemed appropriate, but then there were so many others i wanted to see.. i had the ticket-boy change my ticket three times before settling for jay and silent bob strikes back (from ghost world to musketeer to jay and bob.. he glared at me while punching in the last ticket change...)

it proved the perfect choice. outrageously funny. really. one of my favorite moments is the image of ben affleck and matt damon doing "lemon face! lion face! lemon face!" excercises before shooting a scene. great bunch of cameos. lots of stupidity. i approve. heh.

i'm watching the rentals today. i chose the cement garden simply because it's got charlotte gainsbourg innit, and it is the movie where she says the lines featured in madonna's "what it feels like for a girl" .. okay movie. eh. whatever.

i've covered my closet in pictures to make up for the loss of window view that came as a result in my roommate's sudden re-organizement of our room. jeff buckley, buffy, the donnas, the hot guy from amores perros, joan cusack, janeane garofalo, hedwig (of the angry inch), tori amos, bjork (and the swan), jeremy irons, madonna, salma hayek, sade, mr t, sam rockwell, pj harvey, alicia witt, hakan hellstrom, neo from the matrix.. and a million other pictures. heh.

shrug. something to do?

see, the depression i was in before tuesday got sidetracked into anxiety and sadness, like a lot of us have felt, after tuesday, but now it's back to depression again. i guess i'm not really surprised. i'm just really tired all of the time. i stay in bed past noon because i can. even so, my eye lids sting a bit of tiredness when i'm up. i say nothing, and my hands feel heavy, it takes effort to make them hover above the keyboard so i can type. i was supposed to write an article this weekend but can't bring myself to make the phonecalls needed. shrug. whatever. i'll write something.

anyway. i didn't intend this to become all "poor me" so i'll stop. just saying. shrug. 6:56 a.m.
