hopefully people will stop listing me and my poor little e-mail addresses at crushlink . com sometime soon because getting those "you've got a secret admirer!" e-mails really bugs me.
usually they come from some poor sod who have also gotten an e-mail like that and is frantically listing every single person they know at the website to try and figure out who listed a crush on them in the first place. it's a never-ending chainletter - you list everyone you know to figure out who supposedly has you as a crush, they get letters that you have a crush on them, they list everybody they know and on and on and it's all very annoying.
obviously listing everybody you know doesn't mean that you have a crush on them all, but the e-mail going out still says so and suddenly you have to send out little e-mails warning people about what you were doing and that you don't have a crush on them. "hi bob, i don't have a crush on you! i mean, not that i don't like you but you see i got this e-mail and.. "
so. if anyone was planning to put me on their crush list, whether it be a real crush or that i belong to your large circle of online friends that you frantically list, i'm now blocked. i promise that if you get a crush-mail, i did not send it, so there's no need to list me. if i have a crush on you, i promise to tell you on my own. hopefully, anyone with a remote crush on me, feel free to tell me on your own. :)
i'm sure the service is great when it works, but really, to those not involved, it's just really, really annoying.
