About Miss Tweet
Why do I want to be a teacher?
Because it makes sense.  When I was in school, I loved learning.  Any subject was facsinating to me.  Also, I enjoyed working with children.  In fact, I assisted in my church's Sunday school.  It was that Sunday school that finally helped me determine my profession.  Then when I was preparing for my first classroom, it felt like home.
During the few years that I have taught, I noticed a pattern in my teaching.  Whenever a student needed help, there I was helping them, using the techniques I learned as a tutor in college, focusing on one child so much that I lost track of the rest of the class.  Not a good thing to do in a room full of children, but very good to do in a special education classroom.  When I substitute taught in special ed, the technique came in quite handy.  So now I am taking classes toward a degree and licensure in special education, with a focus on learning disabilities.
I have many hobbies and interests that can be brought into the classroom.
For example: sewing, cooking, gardening, reading, writing, and fishing
I also enjoy hiking, camping, computer programming, and rockhunting.  With my husband now, I am gaining experience in the dairy farming business.

I love nature.  Last summer I took some photos of the wildlife around my home, which you are welcome to see.  I also live surrounded by plants and animals in my home.
