In three to five years I hope to be working at a job I enjoy in the areas of Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and Sales. My "dream" job would be to work for Starbucks Corporate Head Office in these areas.
Much of my training in the MBA program has guided me to do be able to successfully accomplish the requirements of many jobs in that capacity.
I am now able to work with teams to execute national promotional plans and oversee field implementation. I have gained confidence in developing plans to increase sales and putting together programs to train staff on product knowledge. I have the knowledge to coordinate communications with and help identify, recommend and execute strategies to deal with potential issues concerning the reputation and image of a company to their customer media and partners. I have developed skills to put together crisis plans and assist in crisis responses.
I can also support and manage processes to improve workflow, organization, and communication within departments/offices. I am competent to develop, maintain, and improve all marketing related processes including project planning and review and cross-functional teamwork. I am skilled to lead teams and feel confident to resolve process issues and implement improvements.
I believe that what I have learned about leadership, management, strategy, marketing, and teamwork will guide me toward a successful future and career. The managerial development skills will also benefit me in my personal life. I plan to continue to strive toward balance in my life in all areas.
Currently I belong to the American Marketing Association and the American Public Relations Society as well as their Canadian counterparts. I plan to continue to keep on top of current developments and progress in Canada, so I can use the information in the areas of marketing and public relations for an American company if that company also plans to work with Canada.
Wherever I end up, I hope to live near the ocean and in a climate that will allow me to run and train outdoors year-round for marathons.
I am dedicated to lifelong learning
in order to continue my personal and professional growth.
