Chen moved through to the semifinal after defeating
Korean Kim Ga-young 4-1 3-4 1-0 at the first stop of
Asian Tour Women's Invitational in Shanghai.
Later, she set up an all-Taiwanese final against Liu Shin-Mei by overcoming fellow Taiwanese Lin in
the three-set semifinal match.
Jennifer was in good enough condition to take the first
set 5-4. In the second set, Jennifer came back from
being down two games and took the 7th and 8th
games in a row pushing the second set to a tiebreak.
Both players made errors in the final game. In the end,
Jennifer Chen won the ATWI title in Shanghai after
defeating Liu Shin-Mei in straight sets.
Next ATWI tournament will be held in Guang Zhou, China starting from March 13 to March 19.
