Here's the update:
We're doing well! We spent a week in Louisiana for our baby shower given by our parents, Mindy, and Muma. It was absolutely sensational! PawPaw seemed to REALLY enjoy it! He plans on attending ALL baby showers from now on! Not all baby showers allow men, PawPaw...so you may have to go buy a good wig and some panty hose!
We also had the honor of participating in Megan Pourciau and Michael Eddy's wedding! It was a perfect wedding and I was so glad to see two great people, that I love, get married to each other!
While we were home, we ate so much good food...as usual. The food just doesn't compare AT ALL here in Virginia. But, I must say, we have a little bit nicer summer weather!
Baby Jack is doing well. We had another ultrasound done while we were home (thanks to Jason's mom) and measurements were taken. He seems to be on track for his growth and possibly could be born in the last week of August!
My dad came out for a real nice visit. The weather was perfect for his Louisiana get-away.
The baby room is all set up. Now we're just waiting for our bundle of joy to arrive.
We're still waiting for news of our next assignment. The news should arrive around the same time that Jack arrives. We're still hoping for our next assignment to be New Orleans, but we'd be happy with anything that is a little closer to home than we are right now. We'll just have to wait and see.
The kitties and Potter are doing really well. I think they are definitely aware that something different will be occurring in the near future...they're just not quite sure what. Potter has been extra gentle towards me. I think she knows there's a baby in my belly. She's also been very protective of me. She stays right between me and any person that comes to the door/services our house. She even throws in a couple of "buffs" to warn the men. She's such a great dog!
Well, that's all for now. It was great visiting with all those we got to visit with while we were in Louisiana. We miss everyone!
