Here is the story of how we met. |
How we met...
The fact is, we were tricked into meeting each other, or I was at least. Almost three years ago, Jim was talking with a friend of his
and his friend's girlfriend about how he couldn't seem to find
a decent, normal girlfriend.
I had known Jenn Mawson since eight grade, and her boyfriend Steve had known me for three years, so they thought of me
as the kind of person Jim would be compatable with. As a college student, I was simply not interestedin finding
a boyfriend at the time. Jenn and Steve knew that, so they decideded to omit the fact that Jim was going to be there when they
invited me over to hang out.
I ended up really liking Jim despite being lied to, and called him up the next day to ask him out anyway!
We've been together ever since...
How he proposed...
Before he even asked, we had been talking about it a lot. I also had my ring pretty much picked out. One day in January,
not long after Christmas, we went to the mall. I wanted to go to Zales to look at rings. He actually went into the store with me!
I had thought he would complain about me dragging him in there, but he went willingly. He saw the ring I wanted and ditched me
that night to go buy it! About a month later on Valentine's Day, he asked me. He made me wait all day until after dinner
(I cooked for him as my gift to him). He made me sit on the couch and close my eyes then he walked out from the back of his apartment, kneeled down in front of me and proposed.
That's pretty much it. We've been together almost three years now, and I can't imagine my life without him now, and I'm
sure he feels the same way.
