A Little Insight...

Okay, so you want to know more...

Part of the reason the neurologists think I have epilepsy is because of a chemical imbalance in my brain. I don't have a period like most women. I never have had one. It was only recently that I started having them on a somewhat regular basis. For 2 years they had me on Medroxy Progesterone, which is a hormone that would make me have my period every month. Once they took me off that, I stopped having a period. I am 22 years old and I can count on two hands the number of periods I have had. My mother had epilepsy from when she was a small child until she had a regular period, so they think it is hereditary in that sense.

Everything I have ever been taught about babies in Sexual Education, was that the woman's blood, which would normally flow every month, feeds the fetus and gives it nutrition to grow. I found out the hard way, that is not the case. I appearantly still ovulated, but I just didn't menstruate. Unfortunately, I didn't have a choice in the matter of the abortion. The medications I was on at the time were Class C and Class D for problems with pregnancy. The highest class is Class E. The problems included deformity of the child, miscarriage, death of the child, and death of the mother. It was the hardest thing for me to do. I cried a lot and still cry about it from time to time. I kept the test that showed me positive for being pregnant and have kept it since. I don't regret doing what I did, as it was a lesson taught and learned. I thank my mother for all her help and support during that time, and my entire life. Without her, I would be truly lost.
