Teaching Philosophy
I know everyone strives to become a balanced teacher and you do that by pulling ideas from traditional ways and from a constructiviest approach.  I believe in group work and I plan on sitting my students into clusters, but I prefer desks rather then tables.  I want to be a 'fun' teacher and have my students perform hands on activities and do group projects often.  I want to integrate all subjects inot my math class to give students a different outlook on math and let them know that math can be fun and it's related to numerous things they will use throughout their life.  I will read to my students before I begin a new topic to break down the difficulty of that lesson.  I plan on having a word wall with every chapter and I will teach my vocabulary before I jump into the core material of that lesson.  I want to have an interesting room with rope lights and multiple decorations to make my students feel comfortable.  I want plants/flowers in my classroom but they will need to be hardy because I may forget to water them at times.  I will make my students behave just like they were my own children.  I love being a part of a team and want to be at a school where the teachers plan together.  I hope when math lessons overlap with another subject, we would both be teaching that lesson at the same time, you need to team teach to accomplish this task.
