| Fashion Crimes!!! Black and Navy Blue do not go together! Brown and Black do not got together. Pink and Red do not go together. Some people say no toe-out shoes with hose, others totally disagree with this. Some people with great fashion sense have been know to do it....you make the call!! If you are going to wear clothes with logo's on them be sure to own another piece of clothing from that store....that drives me crazy...but if it is too cute to pass up, go for it! You must wear a belt any time you wear a t-shirt tucked in...that is kind of a given though, I guess. Do not wear anything that you are not comfortable in! These are only opinions!! I am not that great of a dresser so why should you listen to me!!! | Spring 2001 This morning on the morning report at Monroe Academy the girls received some terrifying news. We will no longer be able to wear flip-flops. This is denying all MA girls the right to express there wonderful fashion sense. I know me and several other girls are outraged at the announcement. What kind of shoes are we supposed to wear now??? I know for me I planned on wearing flip-flops a lot. I own 14 pairs, and now I will no longer be able to match my outfits with my shoes. Oh well, I guess we will have to get over it!!! |
| Follow up.....The girls at MA are rebelling, many girls have been spotted around campus wearing their flip-flops...The word on the streets is that we are allowed to wear them as long as they don't have a flimsy bottom...So there you go. | 2nd Follow-up....The thing about being able to wear flip-flops as long as they don't have flimsy bottoms is totally untrue. I have been told twice by Mrs. Smith that my shoes are illegal....I tried the whole "These have platforms" but it doesn't work!!! So no more flip-flops I guess unless you feel really brave one day! |

| Simmer 2001 Okay since it's fixing to be summer, I decided to do a thing on summer fashion.. So here you go!!!! Bright is the way to go!!! Girls go for bright yellow, oranges, pink, and green!! Guys look best in bright yellow, green, and blue!!! Footwear for the summer... Flip-flops and strappy sandals are great for girls.....Guys can also wear flip-flops, but not too bright guys (try navy blue and black, not together though!)...........Birkenstock sandals are awesome for the summer....If you like the sporty look stick with your tennis shoes, but keep them on; we don't want to smell your feet since they will be really hot!!! Shirts----If you like casual go for t-shirts....Girls if you are comfortable enough with the little tube-top thingys or the tie around your kneck top go for it, they are way cute....Again go for bright shirts.....Sleeveless is very comfy for the summer also since it's so hot. Shorts....Colorful shorts are really cute, but you have to wait a while before you wear them again.....Example if you have a pair of yellow shorts don't wear them a Tuesday then wear them again that Friday....Try to wait at least a week!..Of course blue jean shorts are cute as well as khaki....Oh, Black shorts are really cute too with a bright top......Okay guys khaki shorts are probably the best....Try the ones with a lot of pockets those are really cute.......Navy Blue shorts are cute too or that olive color that I see a lot of guys wearing.....Try to stay clear of short shorts, that's just nasty for guys!!! Pants....well if you wanna be hot go for the long-pants thing...Girl look really cute in capris or clam diggers, they are really popular right now....I love the flower patterned capris and the basic black and khaki ones.....Guys they make capri pants for y'all too.....I have seen on TV some really hot guys sporting them...I don't know if y'all would go for it though...Whatever you like. Swimsuits......Well girls however much skin you wanna show...Show it!!.........The tankinis are really cute and if you have really cute legs go for the boy cut bottoms......Boys you know what to wear...Long shorts.......Just remember no Speedos....those are sick!!! If you haven't gotten you summer outfits yet, now is the time to go!!!! |

| Okay School is starting and everyone is going out and buying their new fall wardrobe! The stores are a little crazy right now because they don't know if they should still do the whole summer thing or go ahead and put out there fall stuff. If you haven't been to the Mobile malls lately, you will be surprised to see the new Abercrombie and Fitch at Bel-Air. I will have a fashion outfit for the first day of school below, because everyone always tries to look their best on the first day. I will have a full report ASAP on all the new looks or old looks people are sporting on the 1st day. If you don't go to MA, I have correspondents at MCHS and ASCC so don't think you will be left out.
