Lonely
I see a lonely man walking on a beach He wears a ring on his left hand He falls to his knees and burst into tears His hand shields his face To hide the tears that are falling. The man dressed in black carries an urn in his arms Looking out over the ocean he hears the wave's flush up to land He sits lonely cradling with the urn He had found love but love was now gone He sits there alone - alone on the beach Missing his beloved, missing her so Never will he forget that they once were two He misses her delightful voice That always was his comfort. He wonders how she is - maybe she has it better now? He loved her with all his heart Everyday now will be endless pain He walks now, slowly away from the beach Still with the urn in his arms. |
