Week Fifteen

Tuesday, August 29th 2000

Time for another Jumbo I think.  Tonights loss was 1.4 kilos.  My total: 13.4 kilos.  My weight now: 103.8 kilos.
Last week I set a September mini goal of 102 kilos.  After todays loss, that means I only have to lose 1.8 kilos by September 30th.  That shouldn't be hard, and if I don't do it, I think I'll scream!

I guess the pig out on the bread Alan made wasn't too bad....

Exercise wise, I am a good girl.  I told you I joined the gym last Friday night.  Well, I went during my lunch break yesterday, and again today.  I spent 20 minutes on the exercise bike, and 10 minutes on the walking machine.  That's 2 bonus points each day.  I haven't used them either, I haven't needed to.

Good news on the gym front.... I went Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday lunchtime and Friday after work.  Thursday I didn't go, but I went for a 45 minute walk during lunch with one of the girls from work.  5 exercise sessions!!  That's a record for me!

And.....more good news.... I am going to Sydney next weekend.  Now that Virgin & Impulse Airlines are up and running, there are some really cheap fares, and as it's Mums birthday, I thought I'd head down there for a couple of days.  So that's a month earlier than I had originally planned, and I wanted to be 100 kilos before they saw me again, but I'm only just under 4 kilos off that, and still thinner than when they saw me last!  And... my mum doesn't know I'm coming down.  I have sworn my little sister to secrecy... we'll see how she goes keeping her mouth shut!

Been a great week tracking wise... even had 2 glasses of wine during the sales meeting at work on Friday night, but it fit in to my daily points.

Interesting to see how I go on Tuesday night.

Later...........

Actually, there is something I have been thinking about, and thought what better way to get some ideas than to put it in my journal and get some responses....
Next week at WW I get the week 16 booklet.  I was thinking of staying with them until week 20 (at which stage I have all the little booklets) and then leaving to do it on my own.
Just lately I have been assessing my whole weight loss thing.  WW have my goal set at 67 kilos.  I have a personal goal of 75 kilos.  I have set it higher because I have always been a big person.  I want to make sure I get to a weight that I can manage, hence my reason for setting it higher.
It is good knowing I have to get out of here at 7pm on Tuesday nights, but since I joined, I have probably not stayed for more meetings than I have stayed for.  I have found that I have had more support from the internet and people visiting my journal than I do at the WW meetings.
Now that I've joined the gym, which is costing me $25 a fortnight, and the WW meetings of $15.95 per week, plus I buy the WW magazine, and the Slimming magazine every month, it is costing me a fortune to lose weight.
I have an appointment with the trainer at the gym Mid September, and she puts an exercise plan together for me.  They also have scales at the gym, so I could simply weigh myself there once a week.
What do you think?  Is it possible to stop going to WW but keep the motivation and still get to goal?  Surely there are others out there who have done it?
Well, I have about 4 weeks to go, I'll think about it between now and then.
