All of the assignments completed in this writing class correlate with each other. The "Writing Your Own Technology" assignment required producing text out of "natural products" (i.e. soil, water, sticks, rocks). This project was difficult to come up with, but with peer opinion and experiment, I thought up of the perfect idea. I wrote text out of rocks and set them up in sentence format. This assignment really proved how complex simple writing utensils are. Without modern inventions such as computers, pencils, pens and paper, this was a complex task. Read the paper on this assignment and learn more!

The second paper that was assigned was the Ancient Style essay. For this assignment, ideas were applied from Crowley and Hawhee's book 'Ancient Rhetorics for Contemporary Students'. This work explores how useful styleguides are to contemporary texts. A comparison was made between a contempory advertisement and its textual and visual aspects in relation to those of the styleguides rules. This paper was difficult, but it makes sense and it is informational.

The third assignment was the Ideology of Style essay. This assignment was based off of 'The Elements of Electronic Communication' by Heidi Shultz, 'The Elements of Style' by William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White, and 'Style Towards Clarity and Grace' by Joseph M. Williams. In my paper, I explored the aspect of length and audience between these three works. Suprisingly, each of the authors were directing their work to different audiences and I found correlations between the audience intent and the length. View the finished paper to read more!

The Collaborative Website assignment was designed to collaborate the views and opinions of three other classmates to come up with one webpage. The collaborative webpage had to have a theme. Our group chose to explore webpages on English Lesson Planning and critique their effectiveness according to what we have kearned from the styleguides. The final project is what you are exploring now. This website is the final assignment in English 328. The goal of this was to design a portfolio with professional as well as personal imput. I had a hard time initially learning html, but after a sample of tries, I picked it up. I am very proud of the finished assignment and am cofident in saying that this is my best work thus far in my technological career!
