GROWING
OLD
Some
have taken a vow
To
grow old gracefully.
Well,
that might be okay for some,
But
it sure won't do for me!
No,
I intend on growing old
Kicking
and fighting each step of the way.
You
can keep your rocking chair,
And
you can put that lap robe away!
I'll
dance in the rain in my nightgown.
I'll
eat Twinkies each day at tea.
I'll
giggle all through the sermon
And
dare the preacher to scold at me.
No,
others can age with dignity and grace,
While
I hold on to my youthful ways.
Why,
if it wasn't for the cake and ice cream
I'd
stop bothering with those awful birthdays!
