We will find out in the 8th episode that Scout and Bella aren't really brother and sister,but Bella's step-father does believe that Senator Calhoun is Bella's natural father.
In the last episode of the summer Bella goes and tracks down her mother. After she leaves, a man comes out on the porch, and Bella's mom tells him, "That was your daughter.
From Jacqueline aka Ian Somerhalder's BIGGEST FREAKING FAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!!! The WB has supposedly green lighted more episodes of YA to be aired starting January 2001. There's another one flying around that Scout and Bella are NOT brother and sister.
I've heard that Finn finds out about Jake by finding her showering .Not sure if thats true though.
