"Um um. I can explain! I swear! It's not what you think!" Jake said, scared to death that Hamilton would find out the truth.
"Then dammit! Explain! What the fuck are you doing with these!??!" he shouted. "Are you a cross dresser? A transsexual? Or just a guy who likes to dress in women's underwear?"
"IumI." stuttered Jake. "UmI ..I.really don't know what to say."
"How about the truth?! Don't I at LEAST deserve that? Huh? You friggin kissed me! Then you tell me that you're NOT gay! Now I find this crap in your room," Hamilton said, once again holding up the bras and underwear. "So how about it? The truth! The friggin God-honest truth." Hamilton looked over at Jake and realized he was on the verge of tears.
Jake had sat down on the floor and just curled up into a ball. A ball that was shaking and getting ready to cry. 'Oh shit! I can't believe the guy I love is getting ready to cry and because of me!' thought Hamilton.
'I can't believe he's doing this! I know he wants the truth but I CAN'T tell him the truth! If he finds out, it will get all over the school. Then I'll get kicked out. Then I won't be able to see those beautiful blue eyes and those soft lips everyday. Dammit!' thought Jake. 'If only things were different. If only I had come this school as a girl, we could have met, as girl and guy, then maybe we could have gone out on a date. Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! What the fuck am I suppose to do?!' Jake thought.
Hamilton looked down at Jake one more time. He realized that it was useless. Maybe one day Jake would tell him the truth and he would finally figure out this mystery of Jake. Hamilton walked to the door and before he turned the doorknob, he turned around and said, "Bye Jake. Maybe one day I'll find out the truth." He turned to leave but before he could, he heard it.
"Wait! Hamilton, the truth is, I'm a girl." Jacqueline said in her normal, non-guy, voice.
