FAQ
What is your favorite kind of music?
I like just about every kind of music there is, but I'd have to say my favorite musician in the whole world is probably Bjork.  You cannot categorize her very easily - she's just Bjork, a category all her own.  Among the other artists I most admire, in no particular order, are Evanescence, Sting, Sade, Enigma, U2, and Paul Simon.  A very long time ago I went through a country music phase; along that vein I still very much enjoy the music of Emmylou Harris, Willy Nelson, The Dixie Chicks, Alison Krause, and Michael Martin Murphey, as well as any older (classic) country music.  I love ANYTHING bluegrass - I should've been from Tennesse or Kentucky instead of Texas.  I also LOVE rap and hip hop, my favorites being JayZ and Outkast.  I must sheepishly confess to a serious weakness for the music of John Denver and Bread.

What are your favorite movies?

I love period pieces, and not just for the costumes.  They tend to have a real point to their story.  Along that line, I love Howard's End, The Remains of the Day, and The Piano.  Besides that, and again in no particular order, I love The Usual Suspects, Good Will Hunting, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Office Space, Dead Man Walking, The Godfather, The Silence of the Lambs (and none of its sequels!), Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, 2001:  A Space Odyssey (the line "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that" makes the film for me all by itself), The Age of Innocence, and many others I can't even think of right now.

Who are your favorite actors?
Whew, that's a toughie.  I'm going to divide this up into three categories:  (1) Actors whom I admire for their looks alone; (2) Actors whom I admire for their talent alone; and (3)  Actors who combine the best of both worlds.  My list is compiled in no particular order:
Actors whom I admire for their looks alone:
Orlando Bloom (Legolas) - he can speak Elvish to me anytime he wants
Chris Noth (Mr. Big) - particularly in his Law & Order days.  Many will disagree with me.  I don't care.
Ben Affleck - as obnoxious and utterly un-talented as he is, I must admit he's a hottie
Ashton Kucher - he bears a vague resemblance to my boyfriend :)

Actors whom I admire for their talent alone:
Sean Penn - I confess I haven't seen too many of his films, but Dead Man Walking  alone convinced me.  He's okay looking too, in a different way, but not enough to      make the list below.
Harvey Keitel - an under-rated actor, better in some films than others, he is devoted to method acting and independent film.  His performance in The Piano single-handedly inspired me to become an actress.

Actors who combine the best of both worlds:
Johnny Depp
Al Pacino- especially when young, i.e. The Godfather Part I - ho-o-o-o-o-o-t!!
Marlon Brando - ONLY when he was young (i.e. "A Streetcar Named Desire") - in my opinion, this man was the epitome of male beauty, and of course a revolutionary actor.
Colin Firth - A&E's "Pride and Prejudice".  Sigh.
Daniel Day Lewis
