Weyrs

    Wondering where you could find portals to all of the weyrs Jennalyn had made, you spy a woman by the entrance to a large cave and walk over. She smiles and bowes slightly. "Greetings, I am Taria Tarien, Guardian of weyrs. From your expression I take it that you are lost. Well, that is not uncommon. If you wish to visit the weyrs, please follow me." Smiling in thanks, you do.
     Inside the 'cave' turns out to be very large indeed. In its center are glowing portals, presumably to the weyrs. The moment you enter with Taria, a screeching golden fire lizard zooms at your head, followed by a willowy little brown. Your guide has to calm her down enough so that she would stop attacking. Once they were both settled, she began scolding the flit for her rudeness. The queen tosses her head nonchalantly, as if she didn't care one way or the other. The brown rubbs up against her a little and she calms down a bit more.
     Smiling ruefully, Taria appologizes. "I'm very sorry. Gelemara, my little queen, seems close to rising and has been very moody of late. Sheyroh is the only one who can get her to mellow out. They've become very close you see."

You walk a few more steps foreward, then stop again. This time you hear a low growling off to your right, from the shadowiest part of the cave. Looking closer, you can see the outline of an aggitated green watch-wher, seeming ready to pounce at a moment's notice.

Taria quickly steps between you and the meancing wher. "Schala," she calls softly. "Schala. This person is a friend, a visitor. You do not harm visitors. Remember?" The wher considers, then nods her head a little and merges once again with the shadows. Taria turns to face you once more.
"That was Schala, our resident watch-wher. I have not Impressed her, but she does live here with me to help guard these caverns from intruders. A friend of mine at Drahz Hold cares for many whers and gives them posts throughout Jennalyn's realm. They are all Impressed by people in the hold, so a dragonrider could have his or her dragon and still keep a wher to guard their weyr." She motions to the portals. "Now, please feel free to visit any of the dragonriders or candidates by stepping through a portal. Or, you can visit Drahz Hold."
