Collaboration Among Authors:
Difficult or uncomfortable?
Landow describes "collaboration" as "working side by side on the same endeavor" (136).  The internet has allowed collaboration to flourish with collaborative-style  blogs like Life Hacker. and of course, Wikipedia. Landow has a negative view of collaboration, "Both of these models [of collaboration] require considerable ability to work productively with people, and evidence suggests that many people either do not have ot do not enjoy putting it into practice" (137).   With free and effective website like Google Docs, it is hard to believe that people do not have the "ability" to collaborate well together.  It seems like, again, Landow is uncomfortable with the idea of losing his authorial voice by allowing other people to supplement his work, and is failing to acknowledge the wonderful and fascinating things that can come from people who work together.
