This is my cousin Scott with the deer he killed using that bow thing in the picture. I assumed he got this from a "deer stand". Not so. He tracked this animal through the forest on a tip from friends.
I'm not a hunter myself. Won't clean a dead animal either. Course I'll eat them. Thats different.
In the absence of natural predators, hunting is a necessary thing to keep down the deer population. And it gives men something to do on the weekends.
Deer are always running into our cars out here. They can really make a mess of a perfectly good bumper, hood or door panel. Then they run off into the woods, leaving YOU to try to explain it to your insurance company. No apology or anything. Makes me wonder who's hunting who.
Check with your local "fish and game" board and abide by the laws of your area. Nuff said.
