Update~4~4~2000
Hi everyone!
Well day 2 is going well so far! The study on Jenna's Busulphin level's show that she is getting a little bit to much.The target range for her is 600.So they are going to lower it with her first dose tomorrow.That mean's that they will have to do another test day tomorrow,drawing blood every 15 miniutes at first, then slowly tapering it off to once an hour.This is to see that they are giving her the right amount.If they give her too much it can cause damage and if they give her to little then it won't successfully kill off her bone marrow.
My mom and my sister Kellie came down today and brought some decoration's for Jenna's wall's and some more toy's..Seem's she's already bored with the one's we brought!Roman Perkin's had this room for a while before and Shawna had this room really decorated with planes,trains and automobiles which we're very cute but not for our girl!They peel on & off so the next boy that is in here can put them back if they like!So any way they brought us flower & heart stick up's for the wall's that are very cute.Her Aunt Sherry & Uncle Ty are bringing her more on Friday too!Thank's guy's!We got Jenna a Minnie Mouse bed spread that is pink and purple for her bed,so we're kinda going with that theme for her room.Before we even came down Shawna Perkin's sent me a beautiful quilt that has pink flower's on it for my bed in the room.Wasn't that thoughtful?We actually have a room at the family house across the street which we haven't used yet, except to shower and wash our clothing.We asked for a bed instead of a crib since Jenna wouldn't know what to do with a crib.Thank God Randy is able to be up here with us because Jenna goes to sleep every night twirling his mustache or patting his head and thank goodness she still can.Randy has been sleeping in the bed with her and I have been sleeping in my bed.It is working out well but we will probably take turn's sleeping in the bed with her because the nurses are in so much at night that he doesn't get as good of sleep as I have been.So I guess I will just grow a mustache for Jenna to twirl:)Anything to make her happy right?
I feel very lucky that my husband is such a devoted father. I don't think I could do this without such great help.Plus Jenna is such a Daddy's girl,she is so happy when he's around.
Well it's only 4:00 so i'll finish this update when I go to bed ok!Talk to ya then!
April 5th AM
Sorry about that! Apparently, they shut the outgoing phone's off at about 10 pm so I couldn't get back online! Now I know!
Well the rest of the evening went pretty well.
She got her busulphine at 9pm with no problem's.Then her 3:00am busulphine went down fine and came right back up.They had to give it right back to her.They put her on a second anti nausea medicine and that seem's to be working.She hasn't thrown anything else up.We are starting to notice a little bit of difference in her tho.You can just tell she doesn't feel too good and she is tiring out really easy.She was sure happy to see her Grandma and her Auntie Kellie yesterday.They brought her some cool toy's that are keeping her occupied.
Jenna's main nurse is named Karen and we really like her and amazingly, so does Jenna.She is off for 8 day's tho,so we are quite bummed about that,she is great with Jenna.She say's the other nurses are already fighting to be assigned to our baby,so that makes us feel good.
Well i'll try to update tonite before 10:00 :)
