DAY+

UPDATE~4~17~2000

Hi there once again!
Wow what a day!Everything is still going very well overall,we just had a crazy day.Jenna woke up dry heaving which she tend's to do sometimes, that only lasted for a little while. They gave her some benedryl through her line which really help's for the nausea, she get's an anti-nausea medication every 6 hour's but sometimes it's just not enough. The good thing is that she is eating alot and drinking alot during the day and seem's to keep that down most of the time. It's that first thing
in the morning,(empty stomach) that seem's to get her.
She has been so funny with her Cheerios. They send them up in little box's and she call's them "that, that" and insist's on having the whole box in her hand and lay's there on her bed watching TV, eating one little Cheerio at a time. She just seem's so "BIG"!
Ok, so anyway back to our day. After the throwing up was done, she was doing really good, she had another water bath which she loves! Then they decided she needed some blood so they did another transfusion.Well while that was going on she decided she wanted to get down on the floor and play on her blanket with her toys.I was sitting right next to her watching TV and I looked down and there was blood everywhere. She stepped on the line that her transfusion was going through and it came unhooked and blood was going everywhere!Ooop's!Well it was not a big deal because it was the end of the transfusion and we just had a mess to clean up.Ok so now the mess is cleaned up and Jenna and I are now sitting on the floor, she is playing with her toy's and I am combing her hair (out),it's really coming out in handfull's now and getting everywhere so I was trying to get as much out as I could.Well Jenna try's to stand up, slip's and hit's her cheek really hard on the ledge by the window, and since she has no white count's she bruises instantly, and they had to do yet another platelette transfusion to make sure she has enough to clot the blood from the bruise.Well to make a long story even longer,I was told not to let her out of my sight(which I have never done, she was sitting in my lap, I watched her do it!)Arrrgh!Between Randy and I and this 10x20 room were in, I think we can manage to keep her in our sight!:) I know they are just looking out for Jenna which is exactally what we want so I can't complain,I was the one who let it happen,I just felt so bad!
Other than those little incidences and more blood pressure problem's,the day really was ok!Dr.Cowan the head of the BMT unit here was in today and said he is very pleased with the way she is doing,so that made us feel really good!We just continue to pray, pray pray, that she engraft's this marrow. We really won't know anything for a couple more week's,but we are 1 whole week out tomorrow! So far so good!
Well I guess I have ran on long enough for tonite!
Thank you,Thank you Thank you!!!Once again!
Lot's of Love,
Randy,Kristi & Jenna
