Wow it is great to be home! Our house look's wonderful ,thank you everyone again who helped or donated money to the yard, cleaning and grocery's!It is wonderful. Jenna is doing pretty good, it has been a very big adjustment and I think it will take time to get her back to her old self.We just don't get to see those happy smile's very often. As we were getting ready to leave the hospital yesterday morning,Dr.Horn came in to check her out and I asked her to look at a bump I notices on Jenna's gum's.It is the size of an m&m and it is on the top outside of her gum's.It look's very painful.Well needless to day she thought we should take her over to the dental building to get an X-ray.So after Jenna said goodbye to all her nurse's Randy took us and dropped us off at the dental clinic,to get an x-ray,while he finished cleaning out our room and loading the van. They were told ahead of time to have a room ready and we explained she was a recent bmt patient but of course that didn't matter. They weren't ready for us,Jenna refused to wear her mask so I had to cover her head up with a blanket all the while she is screaming her head off.So after I try to explain to them how she has no immune system they ask me to wait in the hall with a whole bunch of kid's everywhere.Well I thought I was going to lose it by then and Jenna already had.So I turned around put Jenna in her stroller told them to call with the result's of the x-ray and went back up to the van.I felt so bad for Jenna she was already so traumatised by coming out of her safe little room where she had been for 6 week's then for all of that.I think it made the transition that much harder for her.It seem's the bump is a tooth, you may remember me talking about her teeth she only has 2 top and 2 bottom and it took alot for them to come through, her gum's are very thick from Hurler's so it's hard for the skin to break to get the teeth through,I guess we'll see what happen's.I have a feeling this may be causing some of the crabbiness,I know it would make me crabby! She slept the whole way home.My mom and Kellie were waiting here with Lindsay when we got here. They had a great welcome home sign on the house,it was so nice.We were kinda worried Jenna might have forgotten Lindsay but no way! That's all she want's is for Lindsay to hold her, they really missed each other!
We got to meet Marcus Espino the little boy with Hurler's that was there for knee surgery,he is adorable and has a little sister named Marissa ,also very cute.In spite of just having surgery he looked great! His parent's Rick and Francie seem like real nice people,it was nice to talk with them,it help's to talk with people like that who are so willing to share their experience to help other's who are going through what they have been through. Well I won't be updating daily now that we are home but if anything changes i'll update as soon as possible! Thank's again everyone you're the best! Lot's of love, Randy,Kristi,Lindsay & Jenna p.s apparently Jenna want's to write too she is pulling my arm off! ct 5za45 c u ou 9 mb aq58 y,67bbbnh,7b tg lfrtlt;lff sgh ju j jkbbj 5g-- (I am so happy to be home!) |
