Once again hello!Well pretty much everything is the same.
Jenna's blood pressure continue's to be very high for her age and weight.They have been trying to control it with a Clonadine patch #2 and when that doesn't do the trick they try Nifedipine.So far this is only a short term fix and it keep's shooting back up.They started her on a new drug today,that she will take once a day orally,so we'll see how that work's.We have to get her blood pressure under control before we can go home.
Well her rash continue's to come and go and now she has diaherria also.The doctor's are pretty sure that this is all due to graft verses host disease and from what we've heard it is pretty common.We just have to keep praying that it doesn't get too bad because it can be very serious.As most of you know that's what has kept little Romie Perkin's here for 7 month's now.
Speaking of praying,we really want to thank Good Shephard Lutheran Church for keeping Jenna and her Grampa Larry on their prayer list.It is definitely helping!!Jenna's Grampa Larry spent a very scary first 3 month's of the new millenium in intensive care,with pnemonia,and is now doing great,thank's to their prayer's and the Lord for hearing them.We believe Jenna is another miracle!
As for her count's,her WBC's were down today to 3.9 and her ANC's were down to 2.7.This drop is normal and expected because they took her off of the drug that help's boost her immune system,so now the cell's are building on their own.Make sense? They took her off all of her antibiotic's yesterday and so far no fever,so that's great!We really hope it stay's that way!Other than this and the fact that Jenna is miss cranky from the steroid's she is great!It's like PMS!One miniute she is a sweetheart,the next she's trying to hit you!UGH!We have created a monster now that she has gotten out of her room she think's she need's to be out there all the time!!!I guess we saw that one coming!
