Hi there!Well it is day +13 !I can't believe tomorrow will be 2 week's post transplant WOW!Our favorite nurse was on last night and we were talking about another little girl who had Hurler's.Apparently she never engrafted 3 times and her own marrow never came back either.So of course I got a little freaked and started saying what if Jenna doesn't engraft and Jenna's own cell's don't come back either.Well every morning at 4 am they do blood draw's to check everything. Our nurse did her draw at 2:00 and the result's were back at 4:00.She came in and woke me up and told me that Jenna's white blood count is at 100.She was at
-100.So we are very excited hoping that this mean's she might be engrafting.Of course when the doc's came in they were very reserved and said they don't want to count their chicken's too soon,because they don't consider the cell's growing until they are at like 200 or more.So hopefully tomorrow morning we'll see another change!At least it seem's like something is happening!
They did say that her liver and kidney function seem's to be fine which is great!I have been giving her water bath's every day,it is something for her to look forward to,she just loves her bath(alway's has).She does however throw a huge fit when I take her out!Today she did something kinda icky in the tub so we had to cut it even shorter!OOogh I thought only boy's pooped in the bath tub????
Ok now onto my husband,he is still stuffy so he is banished again today.He just stay's at the family house doing our laundry and watching movies.He has been coming over standing outside the door watching Jenna play through the glass.Well either he has too much time on his hand's or the city is getting to him or I don't know what,but he decided to get a tattoo!Yes my straight arrow husband who makes fun of people that do stuff to their bodie's is out right now marking himself for life!I can honestly say I never pictured Randy running around the Haight Ashbury looking for a tattoo parlor.The resident manager at the family house took him. He wanted something with Jenna's name and a little guardian angel,so we'll see what he comes back with!I think we need to get him out of here!
Well you guy's please help us pray that Jenna will engraft!We should see something soon!
