Hi there! Oh my gosh where do I begin? Well we got to the city on Monday at around 10:00 am and Jenna had her appointment in prepare which took forever but went fine.We went to the family house and hung out... nothing major. Tuesday we got up and went to Jenna's surgery at around 11:30,they took us right in,Jenna fell asleep on her daddy's lap, they came in and put the mask on her and she was out!....No problem. The surgery went great, her lines look wonderful, they are no where near as scary as we imagined, just 2 tubes coming out of her chest we tape them down so they don't get in her way. Immediately after her surgery they took her down to Mri while she was still out.We were nervous wreck's the whole time.My mom came down and waited with us and helped with the run around stuff.Thank's Mom!We made sure that we were in the recovery room before she woke up.They are really good about that kind of stuff. It took a while but she just woke up, looked at us and smiled! No throwing up or crying or anything!! She was amazing! It seems all those prayer's were really heard, Thank you!We made sure the TV was ready and they had Barney on right when she woke up, so it was really un-traumatic for her.We forgot her Teletubbies in our room, but Barney worked. So she just layed there while they checked her vital's for a couple of hour's.Once everything looked good and they got her chest x-ray back they admitted her to the BMT unit. The Dr's and nurses up there were great. She had a little morphine so she slept pretty good. Then she spiked a fever of 102' degree's.So needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night, they had to check her constantly. They expected her to run a little fever because of the anesthesia, but that was pretty high,so they were concerned she might be getting an infection so they gave her antibiotics and by morning the fever was gone, so we got to go back to the family house. We are amazed at how well she is doing with the Broviac, she doesn't even know it's there.Every now and then she find's it but really doesn't bother it. So we spent the day driving around the city and checking thing's out.We are really getting to know where thing's are down there,so it's alot less intimidating for us country bumpkin's. So today we had to have Jenna back at the hospital for her busulphin testing at 7:30.What they do is put a tube down her nose to her stomach and administer the chemo straight into her stomach. They do blood draws all day to check the levels in her system, this tells them how much they need to give her when the actual chemo start's.What a long day! She really did well except when they were putting the tube in,this she did not like! Can't say I blame her! They decided to send her home with the tube still in so they won't have to do it again on Sunday. So this poor baby has tubes coming out of everywhere.I have to say she is quite the trooper,we both said she has handled it better than either of us would have. Not to mention forgiving! When thing's are over, they are over with her,she forget's all about it!Thank goodness! So we have to be at the hospital on Sunday morning when they will admitt her, but they said I can take my computer with me so I can update daily and e-mail everyone at home plus this way I can talk to Lindsay daily at my mom's house just to hear how her day went at school. It's going to be hard to be away from her for so long.We miss her already!Turbo too(our dog!) Thank you Kristopher for taking care of him for us!Hope he's not too much trouble. Ok well we're beat so I guess it's time to go! Thank you all again for your prayer's they are helping more than you know! Take care! Love, The Watson's
