DAY-5
UPDATE~4~6~2000
Hi! Well today has been pretty good so far.Jenna slept all night and woke up feeling rested and happy.She played all morning and her Papa Larry & Keeta came up to visit for a while.Randy got to get out for a few to have lunch with them so that was nice.Jenna slept the afternoon away after that,so we'll see how well she sleep's tonite!
Her Busulphin study came back and they had to up the dose for her last 3 doses.She wasn't quite at their target range of 630.She just had her 3:00 at 5:00 because they were waiting for the test result's to come back,so now we're a little off schedule.She started to gag and we really thought she was going to throw it back up but she did really well and kept it down!What a good girl!She has another Busulphin at 10:00pm and the last at 3:00am.Tomorrow she start's Thiotepa and RATG.This is the one with the side affect's.Everyone say's to expect her to start to really not feel good with this one.We'll pray it goes ok.
After all her Chemo they say she will get mucoscitis which is mouth sores and it's in the throat and stomach.They tell us this is very painful and they usually need morphine.We have to swab her mouth out with this wash and some big green sponges on a stick.At first Jenna would have no part of it,now she takes it from us and try's to do it herself,it's hysterical!Her mouth is so dry we decided she just likes the moisture.
Our little friend Romie is still not doing well.They thought he had an obstruction of the bowel and ordered a scan,they thought they were going to have to do emergency surgery and they told Ron & Shawna they only gave him 50% chance of making it out of it..However the scan came back and they said there is no change from before,which really relieved Shawna of course.Needless to say it has been a very scary day for them.Again please keep sending good thought's and prayer's toward's the Perkin's family & of course our girl too,we need it!Well let's hope thing's keep going this smoothe!
