trapped inside a nuclear home
where there is no escape
from all of the cruel words spoken
in brief moments of hate

trapped inside this little town
where boredom is what truly kills
and drugs shorts the waiting time
before burial amongst these hills

trapped inside a society
that seldom reaches outside itself
"live, be free, make money!"
and stress ends ones mental health

and now it's time to be set free
to take my heart up off its shelf
for it's not the world that's enslaved me
i'm just trapped inside myself
