fly away

if i could have one wish
i'd ask for wings and fly away
to a new home, a new world
a new change every day

my feet feel like they're bound and chained
i'm in a prison without walls
i've got no other place to go
i try to escape, but always fall

so trapped i am, for now at least
yet still my mind does wander
i dream of a far off place
over the rainbow, and just yonder

and while my body may be bound
my soul certainly is not
and one day soon, my feel will join
with the home my heart has sought
