There's always the proverbial Chuy's, Outback, and Tony Roma's type places, but these are some you may not know about that we like to frequent. Most of them are single restaurants, as opposed to a chain. Always check out Guidelive for current reviews. So without further ado...

�	AquaKnox 214-219-2782 3214 Knox St. at Cole Avenue Dallas, TX 75205	We went here for my 23rd birthday. An upscale seafood restaurant owned by Stephan Pyles, a world-reknown Texas chef.
�	Liberty 214-887-8795 5631 Alta Ave. at Greenville Avenue Dallas, TX 75206	This one is probably our favorite restaurant. It's less expensive than most of the others and the food is divine. Owned by famous chef, Annie Wong, the food is Asian fusion, which means a blend of all Asian foods.
�	Lombardi Mare 972-503-1233 5100 Belt Line Road , Suite 410 at Montfort Road Addison, TX 75287	�We went here for our first Valentine's date. This was my first "nice" restaurant. The food, mainly seafood, was delicious and presented beautifully. It was very romantic.
�	The Mercury 972-960-7774 11909 Preston Road , Suite 1418 at Forest Lane Dallas, TX 75230	We went here for our 2nd anniversary. It was dark and romantic and the food, a diverse selection was just delicious. Named on of Dallas' top 10.
�	Momo's Italian Specialties 972-234-6800 9191 Forest Ln , Suite A2 at Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243	This is a nice little Italian place. They serve authentic Italian dishes. I believe it's bring your own wine.
�	Newport's Seafood 214-954-0220 703 McKinney Ave. , The Brewery at Record Street Dallas, TX 75202	We've been here several times for special occasions. The decor is really neat since it used to be a brewery. They specialize in seafood and it is always wonderful.
�	Nick & Sam's 214-871-7444 3008 Maple Ave. at Wolf Street Dallas, TX 75201	This is a nice, upscale steak restaurant named for each of the owners' children. They had macaroni and cheese on the menu, also named for one of the children. I had to try it.
�	Nuevo Leon 214-522-3331 3211 Oak Lawn Ave. at Cedar Springs Road Dallas, TX 75219	We've been to both locations of this Tex-Mex restaurant. Both places had food that was absolutely marvelous. And who can forget margaritas?
�	Sevy's Grill 214-265-7389 8201 Prest00 at Northwest Hwy. Dallas, TX 75225	We went here for our 2nd Valentine's date. It was an upscale restaurant with a variety of things on the menu.
�	Tei Tei Robata Bar 214-828-2400 2906 N. Henderson at Willis Avenue Dallas, TX 75206	This place was awesome! Chef's cook using the traditional Robata grill and you can watch them. Food was presented very nicely and was heavenly.
�	Tin Star 214-999-0059 2626 Howell St. at Worthington Dallas, TX 75204	Cute little taquiera serving traditional Tex-Mex. Very spicy. Named one of Dallas' top 10.
�	The Zodiac Room 214-573-5800 1618 Main St. , Neiman Marcus at Akard Street Dallas, TX 75201	Of course, Neiman Marcus' exclusive lunch restaurant. Food is always superb. Popovers are magnificent. Everything else on the menu is great too.
�	The Melting Pot 972-960-7027 4900 Belt Line Road , Suite 200 at Quorum Road & Addison Road Addison, TX 75240	This is so fun! Delicious foundue food. You get a cheese dip, made in front of you, for an appetizer, an oil to cook your meat and vegetables in and for dessert a dip of your choice with pound cake, fruit and other things to dip in it.
�	Avanti Restaurant Fountain Place 214-965-0055 1445 Ross Ave., Suite 150 at Field Street Dallas, TX 75202	We went here for a special deal they had. We got a four-course meal, live entertainment and tickets to the Dallas Museum of Art. The food was good and the view was very nice.
�	Antares 214-712-7145 300 Reunion Blvd. at Reunion Tower Dallas, TX 75207	OK, everyone knows this restaurant. The one in the big ball. Dinner here was excellent, very upscale. The view of Dallas was abolutely breathtaking. We went here for our first anniversary.
�	Ziziki's 214-521-2233 4514 Travis St. , Suite 122 at Armstrong Avenue Dallas, TX 75205	We went here for their brunch special. The food is mainly of Mediterranean influence. Very different, but good, too.
�	The Blue Fish 214-824-3474 3519 Greenville Ave. at McCommas Boulevard Dallas, TX 75206	We went here for a sushi and sake tasting. It was so good and fun. I had never had sushi before and it was really good. I didn't care much for the sake, but Justin did.
