This is a  TESTIMONY of how I met my best friend...

This is my best friend. His name is JESUS. He changed my life and gave me a reason to live. I grew up in a Christian family and I always stayed away from all the bad stuff. I didn't drink, have sex, or do drugs. Just because I stayed away from all the bad stuff didn't mean I was doing the good stuff. I was pretty much just merely existing, not making a difference, not feeling, having no real purpose or hope. I believed in Jesus, obeyed all the "rules" and went to church but I just was going thru the motions. It wasn't until junior high and the first couple years of high school that I really understood what Christianity was all about.
In 7th grade I had no friends, people made fun of me, I tried sitting at a table with a "clique" for lunch one day when one girl responded to my company by saying..."We don't want you here." I would call my sister at her work quite a bit with tears in my eyes begging her to help me get out of the school.
8th grade went a little bit better but then freshman year of high school the same thing happened again. I tried and tried to find friends but I never seemed to fit. Towards the end of the year I just gave up trying and went into the girl's locker room and ate lunch by myself and read the Bible. In those lonely times when I was alone and reading the Bible, God's Word  seemed to start coming alive to me. As I was reading it a lot, I saw that Christianity wasn't just all about what not to do, but it was about living, it was about loving, it was all about an eternal love that God had for me. I finally understood that Christianity wasn't about the "10 Commandments" but it was about how God loved me enough to sacrifice His only Son in exchange for my life. I understood that God wasn't just looking down at me waiting for me to make a mistake so that  He could punish me but that He was looking down because He was so in love with me that He just couldn't keep His eyes off of me.
I began to understand the love Jesus had for me that He would live His whole life on this earth for just one purpose... to die for me. Instead of watching me walk to hell because I will never be good or holy enough to see God on my own, He took my place, my sins, and shed His own blood so that I wouldn't have to. Each day,  He walked one step closer to death with me alone on His mind. He gladly and willingly set His life down so that He could see me face to face in heaven one day. God used the lonely times in junior high and high school to draw me closer to Himself. I'm so thankful He allowed that to happen so He could show me how much He loves me. Reading the Bible was a key to me being able to see Jesus more clearly and fall deeper in love with Him. It helped transform Christianity  into a passionate love affair rather than just mere religion.
If you want to know any more about my best friend Jesus, just ask Him to reveal Himself to you or talk to a friend who knows Him. The Gospel of John is a great place to start in discovering how cool He really is. Did you know that the first miracle He did was to turn water into wine when He was at a party? He's not a dull guy at all. God says that when we seek Him and search for Him with our whole heart that we will find Him and He will rescue us (Jeremiah 29:12-14). He won't just rescue us from hell, but He will give us a purpose and a hope in this life so that we are not just walking dead people. Jesus alone is God and one day every knee will bow to Him and every tongue will confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:4-9). Why not do it now and go to heaven rather than choosing to go to hell by waiting to proclaim Him as Lord of your life?
God sent you to this website for a reason, He wants all of your life, whether you proclaim to be a Christian or not, He wants all of you and will never stop pursuing you no matter what you've done. He is in love with you and accepts you just as you are. Won't you receive His great and awesome love for your life today? He's anxiously waiting with arms of love.
