| The lands of the Kalan are savage, bitter and cold; so are the men and demi-men that inhabit these lands. The warping power of chaos keeps the lands in pertetual darkness, instead of the peace of night, there is murder and carnage. Tribes are at constant war against each other and only the most brutal and cunning survive. This has kept the neighbouring civilized lands from invasion. |

| However, there will be times when a strong leader, chosen by the chaos gods will arise and lead men and beast into the civilized lands. Like the plague of a locust swarm, these incursions appear out of nowhere, striking towns and villages harvesting lives instead of crops. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One such chosen is Shalasta. It is said that this vile demonness was once a high elf maiden that led a warband into the ruins of Mordhiem. There she discovered the powers of the Shadow Lord and was corrupted by the powers of chaos. It is unknown which chaos entity she now serves for she has been reported to wield powers of allure and seduction on some occasion and yet command the full hordes of chaos undivided on others. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Shalasta "Purple Serpent" Shalasta is melded with an armour that is bound with a daemonic entity. This gives her the serpentine body that is able to bound across the battlefield wth amazing speed. The lashing tail is capable of striking or ensnaring the opponent to be torn apart by Shalasta's rending claws. |
