| There are some small gems out there from other model manufacturers. The Hell Hounds model from Reaper is one such example. When you look out for models from other lines, you'll be surprised at the alternatives. No conversion necessay, just use straight from the pack. When using alternatives, its a good idea to keep with the well known colors of that paticular GW model. The color sort of "declares" what your alternative model is used as. What else do you call large, mean looking, red colored doggies? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Furies | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Another straight off the pack use of Reaper minis. Reaper produces Blood Imps, which fit well as Chaos Furies. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Minotaurs/Wolfen | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Confrontation minis are another good line of miniatures. The odd or rather good thing about this line of models are that the cost of the minis are based on their game pointage costs. This gives the interesting advantage that you can get 2-3 great minis for the price that you would pay for 1 GW model. Here, I have used Wolfen models as Minotaurs. Equally mean and brutal looking and great models at that. With these guys, you can get 2 models for the price of 1 GW Minotaur model. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Conclusion So here it is, Chaos models on a shoe string. Constantly look out for modelling potentials in the plastic regiment sets and alternative models. You need not sacrifice on looks as such, and it you are a non-GW tourney player, then you need not worry that these models are not "legal". Happy miniature hunting :) |
