While Fantasy Fest was officially cancelled due to the damage from Hurricane Wilma, that did not stop us from going to Key West anyway. Despite our cancelled flights, we made it to Key West in record time. It was a little deserted when we got there Friday afternoon, but by Friday night the place was starting to come alive. Come Saturday, there was quite a Fantasy Fest crowd starting to gather. While the official Fantasy Fest activities did not take place, there was plenty of impromptu action going on. The determination of the people to have a good time really showed. So we got all painted up and joined the hastily organized Bar Crawl which started at Hogs Breath, then on to Billie's Bar, then to Margaritaville, then to Bourbon St Pub...and probably a few others along the way that I forgot about. Festivities were in full swing and an awesome time was had by all. We entered the costume contest at Bourbon St Pub, but of course we didn't have a chance as we were not drag queens! In case you didn't notice, we were cheerleaders and referees...Give me an F! Give me a U! What do you got?! F.U.!
