Mindless Mindless

April 17, 1998

I'm mindless,

Like I always am.

I'm mindless,

Like we all can be.

I look around,

And what do I see?

People running around,

Being what they can be.

I shake my head and think "why me?"

Why am I put with

All these mindful people,

When I am mindless?

I am mindless,

Not thinking anything.

I am mindless.

I wish I could do something.

I want to fit in,

But I stand out instead.

A man looks at me sadly,

"She's dizzy in the head"

I am mindless,

Not thinking anything.

I am mindless,

I wish I could do something.

I wander around

The streets and say,

"Can you help me?

I've lost my way!"

Because I'm mindless,

Not thinking anything.

I'm mindless,

I wish I could do something.

Maybe when I'm older,

I'll fit in a little better.

Then...

I won't be mindless,

I'll be thinking many things.

I won't be mindless,

I'll be doing anything.

I'm mindless,

Not thinking anything.

I'm mindless,

I wish I could do something.
